It was 1895 when Bing & Grondahl decided to create the first decorative plate to celebrate Christmas.
The success was enormous and soon spread throughout the world.
Every year it proposes a different subject.
The title of this year’s Bing & Grøndahl Annual Plate is “Christmas in the Countryside”, portraying an endearing little scene, where the geese have heard the farmer in the barn, and are now eagerly awaiting their feed. As always, the decoration on the Annual Plate is designed by Dag Samsund.
The detailed motif in deep blue and white colours is created by artist Dag Samsund.
